Coulomb Technologies has deployed ChargePoint networked electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Washington, D.C., at the Franklin D. Reeves Center on 14th Street. The public, curbside station was installed by utility PEPCO and Coulomb distributor NovaCharge LLC.
The ChargePoint network is open to all drivers of plug-in vehicles and all manufacturers of plug-in vehicle charging stations. Coulomb says the network is smart-grid-ready, with built-in metering, time-of-use pricing and demand-response functionality.
Coulomb adds that its ChargePoint America program is now offering hundreds of free EV charging stations for public and home charging.
