PACCAR Inc., parent company of the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF truck brands, has named Ronald E. Armstrong CEO and Mark C. Pigott executive chairman of the board of directors, effective April 27, 2014. The board also elected Robert J. Christensen as president and chief financial officer (CFO).
Armstrong, who was also elected a member of the board of directors, is currently president of PACCAR. He succeeds Pigott, who has served as the company's CEO and chairman since 1997. In his role as executive chairman, Pigott will remain an employee of the company and ‘will help guide its future strategies and direction,’ according to PACCAR.
Prior to joining PACCAR, Armstrong was a senior manager with Ernst & Young, where he worked for sixteen years.
