Officials in Trumbull County, Ohio, have approved funding that will support the acquisition of four new compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks that will be used by the county engineer’s office.
According to coverage from WKBN, grant funds will cover 80% of the cost of the new natural gas vehicles. The county’s out-of-pocket expense will be about $200,000.
These four new trucks, which are scheduled to come online this fall, are the first of what county officials hope will be a fleet-wide transition to CNG. The county began looking into NGVs two years ago.
