Odyne Systems Fortifying Systems Engineering Team

Odyne Systems LLC, a developer of hybrid-electric drive technologies for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, recently made personnel moves in order to strengthen the company's systems engineering work.

Bill Mammen has been promoted to director of systems and controls, responsible for leading the development of propulsion systems for advanced hybrid vehicles. Prior to joining Odyne in 2008, he spent 14 years in automotive engineering, manufacturing and advanced development, working on a variety of domestic and international programs with vehicle and component manufacturers, including General Motors, Ford, Visteon and ArvinMeritor.

The company has named John R. Petras director of technical programs and principal investigator, where he will be manage the technical aspects of product-development projects, while also complying with the financial and organizational objectives of the development process. Petras, who joined Odyne in 2012, has over 28 years of engineering and program management experience in the automotive, marine and manufacturing industries.

Also, Paul Hoffman has joined the company as senior controls and systems engineer. He will draw on 20 years of experience to focus on technical design, simulation and testing of control systems for Odyne.
