The Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) will be hosting a pair of its training programs for fleet operators and technicians in April in South Plainfield, N.J.
On April 15, NGVi will present the NGV Technician and Fleet Operation Safety Training course, which is designed to teach attendees about the safe maintenance practices, fueling procedures and operation of NGVs. Both compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) applications will be covered.
The two-day CNG Fuel System Inspector Training program will convene April 16-17. This session provides attendees with the proper techniques for inspecting CNG fuel systems, including on-board CNG fuel storage cylinders. Topics including CNG cylinder codes and standards, cylinder disposal and safe defueling of NGVs are on the agenda.
