U.K.-based company gasfill Ltd. is preparing to debut its flagship compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling appliance, gasfill HOME, in the U.S. market.
gasfill HOME is a compact (39’x24’x14′) unit that features a three-stage, oil-free compressor that operates at an inlet pressure of 0.25 psig (3,600 psig outlet pressure). The product requires only a domestic gas supply line and standard electrical outlet in order to operate.
gasfill, which was established in 2004, says the unit is designed to yield 1.0 GGE of CNG per hour. A standard NGV 1 nozzle is paired to the HOME appliance for dispensing fuel into natural gas vehicles.
The new product is fully developed and tested, and the company is in the initial stages of commercialization – seeking a partner to begin large-scale manufacturing.
‘We are looking for a company with the capacity to assemble high-volume compressed gas appliances and the ability to open up routes to market in target regions,” says Norman Leece, managing director at gasfill.
