The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has certified the Natural Gas Vehicle Institute's (NGVi) training programs, which include coverage of areas such as NGV and technician safety, compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling system inspections, CNG fueling stations, and NGV fleet management.
To receive certification, ASE reviews organizations' training and student assessment methods; curriculum and material; administrative processes; and instructor qualifications. ASE certification administrator the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation examined NGVi's programs this fall.
‘Natural Gas Vehicle Institute is well-known in the industry for its dedication to providing comprehensive and high-quality training programs,’ says Leo Thomason, executive director of NGVi. ‘We share this commitment with ASE and are proud to provide our customers with the leading-edge courses that train them to safely and competently operate and manage natural gas vehicles and fueling technologies.’
