The Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi), which provides technical training, consulting and education products on natural gas vehicles (NGVs) and fueling, has been awarded an additional five-year ASE CASE accreditation from the Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC), a non-profit accrediting organization that establishes and promotes quality standards for training entities that provide continuing education to working automotive technicians. As NGVi explains, achieving ASE CASE accreditation involves a rigorous and extensive review process of training techniques, student assessment methods, validity of the curriculum and material, administrative processes, and instructor qualifications. According to NGVi, the company is the only ASE CASE-accredited provider that specializes in training for the NGV industry. “Offering top-notch NGV training is the core of NGVi’s mission,” says Annalloyd Thomason, co-owner and general manager of NGVi. “I know I speak for our entire team when I say how honored we are to be granted the ASE accreditation for another five years. The accreditation not only provides assurance that our training programs fulfill industry-established and -endorsed standards, but it also validates our ongoing commitment to providing the highest-quality programs to our customers.” NGVi has been ASE CASE accredited since 2012. The company says it offers a wide range of training programs, including three levels of NGV technician training, covering such topics as NGV safety, compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system inspection, and NGV maintenance and diagnostics. In addition, the company offers classes on sizing, design, operation and maintenance of CNG fueling stations. Photo courtesy of NGVi’s Twitter account
