NAFA Names Director of Accreditation Development

NAFA Fleet Management Association has announced the formation of a new position that will focus on development for the NAFA Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program.

NAFA, in collaboration with CALSTART, unveiled the new Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program during NAFA's Institute & Expo conference in Orlando last April. NAFA says the program encourages fleet fuel efficiency and improved emissions.

Alexander Barton will fill the new role of director of accreditation development after a more than eight-year absence from NAFA. During that time, he held the position of president for an Illinois corporation doing business as Green Transportation Solutions. Barton previously worked with NAFA on business development, and he helped NAFA launch the Green Zone pavilion, Green Fleet Ride & Drive and Green Fleet Manager of the year award.

“Having the opportunity to work with NAFA again is just a dream come true for me,” says Barton. “The new accreditation program drives real action and encourages engagement, so it will provide much fulfillment for me both personally and professionally.”
