NAFA Fleet Management Association has announced three winners of the group's inaugural Safety Leadership Awards: Ray LaHood, Jack Hanley and Janet Froetscher.
NAFA says these awards are bestowed by its Safety Advisory Council, which the association formed last year to focus on fleet safety. The Safety Leadership Awards recognize ‘individuals and organizations that demonstrate a positive influence and impact on vehicular and passenger safety,’ NAFA says.
Ray LaHood is secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, and Jack Hanley is executive director of the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety. Janet Froetscher is president and CEO of the National Safety Council.
NAFA plans on formally recognizing the award winners on April 22 during the group's 2012 Institute & Expo in St. Louis.
