Republic Services Inc. has deployed 49 new compressed natural gas (CNG) solid waste and recycling trucks to serve customers throughout greater Houston, joining 55 other natural gas vehicles that were put online in Republic Services' Houston territory in the last year.
Republic also installed two time-fill natural gas refueling stations in order to support this CNG-powered fleet.
The company operates two divisions in greater Houston, employing more than 140 at its West Houston-Fondren division and 200 at its North/Little York division. These two divisions collective serve more than 148,000 residential and 5,000 commercial customers.
