Linde Building LNG Terminal That Will Accommodate Transportation Needs

Skangass AS has selected The Linde Group to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Lysekil, Sweden, that will supply LNG for transportation and industrial applications, as well as a nearby refinery.

The engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract calls for the integration of cryogenic tank structures, to be erected by a third party. The new terminal is planned to start operations in spring 2014.

‘We see ourselves on the right course to strongly benefit from the trend towards LNG as a low-emission fuel and petroleum substitute,’ says Linde AG board member Dr. Aldo Belloni.

The new terminal will have a storage capacity of 30,000 cubic meters and include a truck refueling station.
