HPEV Inc. says it has taken delivery of a 2012 Ford 350 dually truck that will be converted into a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (EV) using the company's propriety electric load-assist technology.
‘HPEV technology enables the conversion of any vehicle into a plug-in hybrid,’ says Tim Hassett, chairman of the company. ‘The brand and size are irrelevant. Our platform remains the same no matter what the make, and it's scalable all the way up to a Class 4 truck.’
The company says it expects to demonstrate its technology during second quarter of the year.
