Hino Trucks says it recently signed its 200th dealer point in the U.S. and plans on adding another dozen in 2013 in order to better reach critical markets.

‘These additions will provide us dealer points strategically placed across the United States, in areas of high-volume medium-duty truck population, as well as the ability to service our growing customer base in the smaller markets,’ says Debbie Morello, manager of dealer operations for Hino Trucks.

Hino specializes in Class 5-7 commercial trucks, including its 195h diesel-electric cab-over Class 5 hybrid truck. The 195h won American Truck Dealers' 2013 Medium Duty Commercial Truck of the Year award, announced this week. It was selected for the medium-duty (Class 3-7) category.

‘We successfully launched the truck this fall in California, and we are happy to report that, to date, we have deployed 130 trucks into the Californian market,’ says Bob McDowell, senior vice president of sales and customer support for Hino.

The 195h will be available in all states by June.
