The Hertz Corp. has expanded its Hertz On Demand program to Oklahoma State University with the introduction of an all-compressed natural gas (CNG) fleet.
As a part of the initiative, Hertz will initially offer students, faculty, staff and the neighboring community access to two Honda Civic GX sedans, with plans to expand soon. The vehicles are the first CNG cars in Hertz On Demand's fleet.
As of this fall, Hertz On Demand will have a presence on more than 60 university campuses across the U.S., the company says. The service operates on a pay-as-you-go system, providing members with 24/7 access to vehicles strategically located throughout a given territory.
