The Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) says it will be hosting its Heavy-Duty NGV Maintenance and Diagnostics Training program in Long Beach, Calif., on Jan. 14-16, 2014, with early-bird registration running through Dec. 18.
The training is designed to educate technicians about the operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty natural gas vehicles, with a focus on the safety and repair issues unique to NGVs running on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
NGVi says the course includes operational theory with hands-on exercises, and the use of DMMs, scan tools and other diagnostic equipment. The training will prepare techs for the ASE H1 exam.
