The organizers of the Green Truck Summit, which will be held this year March 5-6 in conjunction with the NTEA's Work Truck Show at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, have announced that Lee J. Styslinger III, chairman and CEO of Altec Inc., and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) Dr. Michael Pacheco will be on hand to deliver keynote addresses.
Altec, an equipment and services provider for the electric utility, telecommunications and contractor markets, is currently developing hybrid-electric, all-electric and range-extended electric work trucks. The company also deploys vehicles that operate on compressed natural gas (CNG). Styslinger will talk about his company's progress during his speech on March 5.
Pacheco, who serves as associate laboratory director for deployment and market transformation at NREL, will share his insights into clean energy deployment on March 6. His group at NREL is responsible for various cleantech initiatives, including those related to commercial vehicles and fleet operations.
The Green Truck Summit, which is produced jointly by the NTEA and CALSTART, will feature 24 breakout educational sessions and five general sessions. Attendees can also take part in the Green Truck Ride-and-Drive at The Work Truck Show on March 6 and 7.
