The Green Truck Association (GTA), an affiliate of work-truck trade association NTEA, has formed three technology councils in an effort to more fully serve industry interests in ‘green’ trucking.
The Sustainable Integration Technology Council has been established to promote the integration of upfitters of green technologies within the work-truck industry, while the Vehicle Electrification Technology Council will investigate work-truck electrification and identify key technologies that facilitate electrification.
The GTA's Lightweight Materials Technology Council will work with trucking professionals, technical experts and government representatives to collect data about the development and deployment of lightweight materials in the manufacture, specification and operation of truck equipment and related accessories for fuel efficiency; vehicle right-sizing; carbon reduction; operational longevity; recycling; general mass-compounding; and increased payload.
Fleet operators and truckers can learn more about these new initiatives by emailing gtainfo@ntea.com or calling (800) 441-6832.
