Better Place, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) networks, says it is offering Hawaiian drivers free EV charging through the end of 2012 at more than 130 charge points on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.
To use the network, drivers can sign up for a free membership and access an interactive map of Charge Spot locations. New members will receive a welcome kit with a membership card, giving them access to all Better Place Charge Spots across the state and a guide to using the network.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, drivers will have the option to sign up for an affordable Better Place membership plan, the company says.
