IGS CNG Services and Englefield Oil Co. will be building compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling capacity at an existing BP fueling station/Duchess convenience store at 3909 Alum Creek Dr. in Obetz, Ohio.
‘We'll have two dispensers with two high-flow and two 'fleet' style hoses,’ says Dave Mrowzinski, program manager with IGS CNG Services. ‘These dispensers will allow users to plug their CNG vehicle into the dispenser and refuel in the same amount of time it would take to refuel traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles.’
The companies note that this is the first CNG station to be located a Duchess site. The convenience store chain, which is owned by Englefield Oil, operates more than 100 locations in Ohio and West Virginia.
‘We are hopeful that the Obetz Duchess is just the start of a great partnership with IGS,’ says Bill Englefield, president of Englefield Oil. ‘We anticipate offering this fuel alternative at other Duchess locations around the state of Ohio in the future.’
For its part, IGS CNG Services already has three other CNG stations in Ohio (in Dublin Girard and Orrville) and two are currently under construction in Dayton and Findlay. The company also has stations in Charleston, Bridgeport and Jane Lew, W.Va.
