The California Energy Commission has awarded Coulomb Technologies $3,417,000 as a part of a $12 million project for the installation of ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles in Los Angeles, Sacramento and the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.
The first ChargePoint installations in California are at the Electric Power Research Institute's (EPRI) headquarters in Palo Alto. These EPRI stations will be used to collect research data on the requirements of workplace charging.
‘California is leading the charge and will soon have thousands of networked charging stations installed, thanks to this grant from the energy commission,’ says Richard Lowenthal, CEO of Coulomb Technologies.
