Collins Bus Corp., a subsidiary of Allied Specialty Vehicles Inc. (ASV), has named Dan Peters president, replacing Kent Tyler, whom ASV appointed president of fellow subsidiary E-ONE Inc. late last year.
Peters served five years with Pierce Manufacturing Inc., a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corp., as general manager and, more recently, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Prior to his experience at Pierce, he was president at Akron Brass, a subsidiary of Premier Farnell.
‘Dan's proven record of leading businesses through consistent sales growth and, perhaps more importantly, his focus on developing organizations and maintaining strong customer relationships makes him an ideal leader for Collins Bus,’ says James Meyer, chief operating officer of ASV.
Collins Bus markets Type-A buses throughout North America under the Collins, Mid Bus and Corbeil brands. They build buses that run on both conventional and alternative fuels, such as propane and compressed natural gas.
