Collins Bus Corp., a subsidiary of Allied Specialty Vehicles Inc. (ASV), has promoted Matt Scheuler to president.
Since February 2014, Scheuler has been vice president of sales and marketing at Kansas-based Collins, which manufactures Type-A buses in North America that run on both conventional and alternative fuels, such as propane and compressed natural gas. Scheuler will report directly to Tim Sullivan, ASV president and CEO.
‘I'm pleased to see Matt move into this leadership position,’ comments Sullivan. ‘Matt has a proven record of guiding consistent sales growth and sustaining strong customer relationships, making him the ideal person to continue advancing Collins in the school bus market.’
Before being appointed vice president of sales and marketing earlier this year, Scheuler was director of sales at Collins and responsible for the company's western region territories in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to this, he held several other positions of increasing responsibility at Collins since joining the company in 2001.
