Niyato Industries Inc., a firm that specializes in compressed natural gas (CNG) and bi-fuel vehicle conversion technologies, has hired Alan Himelfarb as its chief operating officer to manage the company's North American operations.
Himelfarb was most recently executive vice president for GreenTech Automotive, where he was responsible for strategic planning and implementation. His 20-year career in the alternative fuel automotive industry includes the founding of EV Global Motors with former Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca and cooperation on advanced battery technologies with former GM chairman Bob Stempel.
Niyato's CNG N150 truck offers over 600 miles of range with a 13-gallon CNG tank and a gasoline tank. The truck features an EPA-certified CNG system and comes with a three-year/36,000 mile warranty, and the 5-liter engine comes with an additional warranty of five years/50,000 miles.
