CleanNG, a Tulsa, Okla.-based compressed natural gas (CNG) storage tank manufacturer, has been named one of the 50 most innovative global start-up companies by Global Entrepreneurship Week, an annual showcase and competition. The company competed with about 400 applicants in 17 countries.

‘We are tremendously excited to receive this type of recognition on a global scale,’ says Matt Villarreal, CleanNG's CEO and co-founder.

The company moved to Tulsa at the beginning of this year to be closer to its research partner, OSU-Tulsa's Helmerich Advanced Technology Research Center. The company recently secured its first private investor and first product order, to develop a prototype storage tank for a CNG infrastructure project.
