ClipperCreek has debuted its HCS-40 electric vehicle (EV) charging station: a 30 A, 240 V Level 2 indoor/outdoor charger. The company says the unit's price starts at under $600.
‘We have 16 years of field experience to know what happens to charging stations in the real world, and we went out of our way to develop a unit that could survive the worst abuse and still charge your vehicle every time,’ says Jason France, ClipperCreek's CEO.
The HCS-40 comes standard with 25 feet of charging cable and a three-year warranty, and a connector holster is optional, at $19. The company says the charger ‘can be installed anywhere by practically any qualified person.’
ClipperCreek notes that the HCS-40, which is manufactured in Auburn, Calif., is available for immediate delivery.
