Clean Cities-Atlanta is hosting a Lunch & Learn Series event today focused on propane autogas, policies and new advancements. The event, sponsored by the Georgia Propane Gas Association and AmeriGas, will be held at the DeKalb County Central Transfer Station at 3720 Leroy Scott Dr., Decatur, Ga., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT.
Derek Whaley of Alliance AutoGas, Capt. Bart Humble of the Sandy Springs Police Department and Jerry Lindsey of Metro Lawn will provide insight on the use of propane autogas as a transportation fuel. The Sandy Springs Police Department converted fleet vehicles to autogas through the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program, for which Alliance AutoGas provides fueling and conversions.
Propane autogas-powered vehicles on display will include a Sandy Springs police cruiser, an AmeriGas Ford F-150, an autogas-dedicated Roush Ford F-150 from AmeriGas and a Metro Lawn commercial propane mower.
