The City of Oakland, Calif., will host the AltCar Expo on May 28.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event will showcase the area's largest selection of electric, hydrogen, natural gas, propane, biodiesel and hybrid vehicles in one location and present rebate and infrastructure information. AltCar will also offer free ride-and-drives from Honda, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and GenZe, as well as debut Swiftmile, a locking and charging solution to address the so-called “last-mile problem.’
‘We are pleased to host AltCar Expo in Oakland,’ states Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. ‘Creating sustainable transportation is something we've made great progress on, and we look forward to more advances in the years to come as the state launches new infrastructure, which will help people fuel vehicles with cleaner solutions for the environment. AltCar Expo is an opportunity for the public to learn about their choices, the rebates and upcoming opportunities that will help them make more informed choices.’
Event partners include The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Bay Area Climate Collaborative, Breathe California, East Bay, San Francisco & Silicon Valley Clean Cities, The Association of Bay Area Governments, PG&E, and others.
