Atlanta-based dealership Jim Ellis Chevrolet has partnered with American Fueling Systems (AFS) to funnel its alternative fuel vehicle customers into AFS' compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station in the city.
Jim Ellis Chevrolet says it has sold a number of Chevy Volt electric vehicles in the past few years, and the new bi-fuel CNG Chevy Silverado 2500 HD pickup truck is a key new alt-fuel offering for the dealership. Working with AFS to assure customers that CNG fuel is available will enhance sales, the company says.
‘The only thing slowing down the process is the infrastructure that will allow for easier availability of CNG for our customers,’ says Mark Frost, general manager of Jim Ellis Chevrolet. ‘We are encouraged that more and more stations are starting to offer CNG.’
AFS' facility, which opened in October 2012, is located at 4420 Buford Highway in Atlanta.
