The Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) says it is offering compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle training courses in Charlotte, N.C., in mid-March.
The organization's basic NGV Technician & Fleet Operations Safety Training course will be held on March 12, covering NGV maintenance practices, CNG fueling procedures and operation of NGVs.
NGVi's CNG Fuel System Inspector Training program will take place on March 13-14. This two-day course covers techniques for inspecting CNG fuel systems, including on-board CNG fuel storage cylinders.
The trainer for these courses is Paul Pate, an ASE Master Certified automotive technician, as well as a CSA-certified CNG Fuel Systems Inspector. He has administered college-level automotive courses for over 17 years, and he now specializes in alternative fuels.
