The public transit agency in Charlevoix County, Mich., is adding a propane-powered bus to its fleet.
According to a Petoskey News report, the county ordered the $83,925 bus after receiving state and federal funding. Last year, the county piloted a propane-fueled van to gauge the benefits of the alternative fuel.
The new bus is slated for delivery this summer and will replace the county's five-year-old hybrid bus, whose manufacturer has gone out of business.
