AMP Electric Vehicles Inc. says the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has approved its all-electric E-100 truck as a zero-emission vehicle eligible for sale in California for the 2014 model year.
The vehicle is capable of carrying nearly 10 tons while attaining a range of 100 miles on a single charge, the company says. AMP designed the E-100 with package-delivery fleets in mind, but the vehicle is also appropriate for other applications.
‘We believe this is a major milestone towards bringing our E-100 truck to market in the state that leads the country in the adoption of zero-emission and low-emission vehicles,’ says Steve Burns, CEO of AMP.
More information about the E-100 is available at AMP's website.
