Phoenix Cars LLC, a developer of light- and medium-duty electric vehicles for fleet applications, says the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has approved its all-electric shuttle bus, the ZEUS 300 (Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle 300 series).
The vehicle is powered by Phoenix Cars' proprietary electric drive platform, backed by a lithium-ion battery pack. The ZEUS is capable of carrying 14 passengers and their cargo 100 miles on a single charge and can complete a full recharge in as little as two hours using DC fast charging. Additionally, the ZEUS comes with Phoenix's eight-year/300,000-mile battery warranty and five-year/100,000-mile drivetrain warranty.
Phoenix Cars was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Ontario, Calif.
