Propane retailer and Alliance Autogas founder Blossman Gas Inc. has acquired Jacksonville, Fla.-based Southern Propane.
Southern Propane's 2,500 customers will join Blossman's customer base of 150,000. In addition, Blossman will be servicing its Jacksonville-based propane autogas customers from the new branch.
Southern Propane has been in business for 34 years in the Jacksonville market. Six of its employees will be joining the Blossman team, and the store location remains at 5923 Soutel Dr.
“We are happy to bring our companies together,” notes David Reynolds, COO of Blossman Gas. “This is the fifth acquisition Blossman has made in the past 12 months and our 74th store in our footprint.
“This acquisition fits well into our strategy of growth and acquiring quality propane companies in eastern half of the United States,” adds Reynolds.
