Ballard Power Systems has signed a memorandum of understanding with WEG Industries, a multinational corporation headquartered in Brazil, to collaborate on product and market development for fuel cells.
Under the agreement, the companies will identify and evaluate opportunities for hydrogen fuel-cell products and services in applications related to WEG's core businesses and to vertical markets, such as bus and rail. WEG, which has 24,000 employees globally, focuses on electrical engineering, power and automation technologies, such as the production of electric motors, generators and transformers.
