AmeriGas Propane Inc. has elected Brian R. Ford to its board of directors, where he will advise the company on matters related to financing, accounting, audits and other areas.
Ford was previously a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, where he served in various roles from 1971 until his retirement in 2008. He currently serves as a member of the board of GulfMark Offshore Inc., a provider of marine transportation, and of NRG Yield Inc., a subsidiary of NRG Energy Inc. that invests in contracted renewable and conventional generation and thermal infrastructure assets.
Ford's appointment to the board is effective November 1.
