Today, American Trucking Associations (ATA) CEO and President Chris Spear will host a special Transport Topics LiveOnWeb program on the topic of natural gas technologies and trucking, titled “Transporting the Nation’s Freight Bill on a Natural Gas Diet.”
The program will be presented by ATA and Securing America’s Future Energy, featuring business magnate T. Boone Pickens, FedEx Corp. Chairman and CEO Fred Smith, and president of Natural Gas Vehicles for America Matt Godlewski.
“Natural gas is the preferred and dominant alternative fuel in America’s trucking fleets, delivering low and stable pricing while reducing emissions,” Spear said. “Its abundant supply here in the United States makes it a viable energy source for decades to come.
“We’re pleased that we were able to put together such a knowledgeable panel on this critical topic,” he added. “This LiveOnWeb program is a unique opportunity for those within the industry to hear from some of the leading voices on natural gas and trucking.”
ATA is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry, with a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils.
