Altech-Eco Corp. says it has obtained certification from the California Air Resources Board for its dedicated compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion system for the 2014 Ford 6.2L V8 F-250/350 pickups with a Ford-supplied CNG gaseous prepped engine.
The dedicated version converts the vehicle to operate 100% on CNG. Altech-Eco, a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier based in Asheville, N.C., says its integrated systems are designed in collaboration with a Ford-approved Qualified Calibration Modifier for real-fleet applications.
An existing Ford warranty remains intact, along with an additional Altech-Eco CNG systems warranty.
Altech-Eco already offers Environmental Protection Agency-certified CNG systems for the 2014/2015 F-250/350 6.2L, 2014/2015 Transit Connect 2.5L and 2014 F-150 3.7L as a bi-fuel or dedicated CNG conversion.
