ALTe Powertrain Technologies, a developer of plug-in electric and hybrid powertrain systems for commercial vehicles, has named Darren C. Post to the newly created role of chief operating officer. The company says the COO role was created to ‘position the company for the forthcoming rapid growth stage as ALTe is preparing for mass production.’
Post was previously executive vice president of product development at ALTe. Before that, he held a variety of manufacturing executive positions at GM, with responsibility for various factory operations and product development efforts, such as the launch of several vehicle platforms. His product experience also includes alternative fuels, as he managed the implementation of compressed natural gas versions of several vehicles.
