Dillon Transport, a heavy-duty hauler that specializes in moving tankers and temperature-sensitive loads, has placed an order with Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. for compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system components for its Class 8 tractors.
Dillon will be integrating complete back-of-cab CNG fuel systems that include equipment such as Quantum's Q-Lite CNG tanks.
‘We have made a full commitment to compressed natural gas trucks and recognize Quantum as a company that can provide attractive storage system solutions,’ says Jeff Dillon, president of Dillon Transport, who noted the ‘weight savings’ and ‘cost-effective aspect’ of Quantum's offerings.
Dillon, which has more than 400 trucks in its fleet, is also working with partners such as Love's Travel Stops to ensure that it has adequate, cost-competitive access to CNG fuel for its tractors.
