Nuovo Energy Solutions LLC will be using compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment from Bauer Compressors Inc. to build new time-fill CNG refueling infrastructure for the City of Asheville, N.C.
The city will be deploying an initial six refuse vehicles that run on natural gas. Nuovo, an approved CNG compressor dealer for Bauer, will supply the entire time-fill system and provide station service and maintenance once it is built. The companies anticipate that the Bauer system will be delivered by early April.
The Asheville station is part of a pair of contracts that the State of North Carolina recently awarded to Nuovo. These contracts, which run through September 2018, cover both CNG refueling infrastructure and natural gas vehicle conversions. Nuovo will be working with partner E-Energy Alternatives on the NGV conversions.
