Nine new companies have joined Alliance AutoGas as conversion center members, tasked with handling propane vehicle conversions using the Prins VSI autogas system.
‘It is of the highest importance that Alliance AutoGas provides a quality support network and keep the vehicles running on the road,’ says Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas.
To that end, the network added two new centers in Wisconsin (Benna Ford and Northside Auto & Truck Service), two elsewhere in the Midwest (R. Anthony Enterprises in Marion, Ohio, and Clean Car Conversions in Indianapolis), two in the south (NTC Delta Transportation, Greenville, Miss., and Gary Sapp Automotive, Pensacola, Fla.) and two in the Mid-Atlantic region (MRT Manufacturing, Forest Hills, Va., and Sherwood Ford of Salisbury, in Maryland). In New England, the alliance welcomes NAEU North American Upfitters of Hooksett, N.H.
‘I was intrigued by a large fleet customer of ours who did new conversions in our repair shop,’ says Bruce Rogers, president of Sherwood Ford of Salisbury. ‘When I learned about the positives of propane autogas, I wanted immediately to become an autogas conversion center and grow our business.’
Alliance AutoGas is the authorized distributor of Prins autogas technologies in the U.S. The company recently netted EPA certifications for a number of model-year 2012 and 2013 vehicles that use GM's popular 4.9- and 6.0-liter engines.
