Breakthrough Fuel, a supply-chain management and transportation energy advisory firm, says fleet customers that use the company's compressed natural gas (CNG) service recently logged a total of 3.5 million miles of operation.
‘Shippers are beginning to realize that there are options when it comes to managing fuel costs, as well as reducing their carbon footprint,’ says Breakthrough Fuel's John Smith. ‘CNG can be a part of that picture, and we believe it's an area that will continue to grow.’
The company adds that its CNG customers' fuel-cost savings versus diesel are ‘closing in on $1 million.’
