Officials from Pennsylvania-based West Allegheny School District have voted to allow the district's bus service provider, Monark Student Transportation Corp., to deploy two new propane autogas buses per year as a part of the fleet's replacement program.
Complementing the bus purchases is a two-year agreement with ProGas Inc., located in Zelienople, Pa., for the provision of propane tanks and related equipment for fueling the buses. The school district is using a lease agreement with ProGas, according to coverage in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
