The centerpiece of the Green Across America campaign – the Clean Across America & Back 2012 CNG Road Trip – is set to begin today at a National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Odyssey event in Santa Monica, Calif.
Curtis Martin, program coordinator for Antelope Valley Clean Cities Coalition in northern Los Angeles County, Calif., is the Green Across America chairman and organizer of the coast-to-coast (and back again) journey. A new 2012 Honda Civic natural gas vehicle (NGV) provided by American Honda in Torrance, Calif., is the touring vehicle.
The NGV will make stops to refuel at various compressed natural gas (CNG) stations nationwide, as well as be on display during other Clean Cities organizations' events. The schedule calls for the Civic to make its way back to California on Nov. 1.
