Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has signed a 10-year agreement with third-party logistics firm Saddle Creek Corp. to construct natural gas fueling stations at existing Saddle Creek locations.
Saddle Creek operates 29 warehouse facilities across the U.S. and already has one compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at its headquarters in Lakeland, Fla. That site, which features four fast-fill pumps and 20 time-fill hoses, opened in December 2011 to accommodate the company's growing natural gas truck fleet.
‘This major new station-building agreement with Clean Energy marks a significant milestone in our efforts to transition our truck fleets to natural gas power,’ says Mike DelBovo, president of Saddle Creek Transportation.
Clean Energy Fuels and Saddle Creek are currently working on fueling stations in Dallas; Atlanta; and Charlotte, N.C.
