Greenleaf Biofuels LLC and Tenaska BioFuels LLC (TBF) have formed a multi-year agreement, whereby TBF will supply feedstock to Greenleaf, as well as sell biodiesel fuel from Greenleaf's facility in New Haven, Conn.
‘Between its significant experience in the biofuels industry, vegetable oils and waste feedstock procurement, and trading operations, we feel extremely fortunate to have TBF as our commodity manager,’ says Gus Kellogg, CEO and founder of Greenleaf.
The companies say the agreement covers Greenleaf's initial 10 million gallon-per-year capacity and includes options to extend and expand the relationship. TBF notes that the Greenleaf plant is ‘positioned well logistically’ and will provide the company with access to markets in the Northeast.
