The City of Nanaimo, British Columbia, already has five pickup trucks in its fleet that run on propane autogas and is slated to buy and convert five more.
According to a Nanaimo Daily News report, the city has issued a tender for the supply of the new trucks, and Nanaimo's fleet manager said autogas results in substantial fuel cost savings and less emissions.
Nanaimo's fleet also includes four electric vehicles and two compressed natural gas trucks.
