The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is now accepting applications for the Texas Natural Gas Vehicle Grants Program (TNGVGP), a program of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan.
Individuals, businesses and governmental entities that operate heavy- or medium-duty motor vehicles can receive funding to replace or repower their vehicles with compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas.
Only diesel or gasoline vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 8,500 lbs. are eligible for funding under the TNGVGP. Further, grants will be awarded to applicants who operate in a county located within Texas’ Clean Transportation Zone.
Applications will be accepted until Feb. 26, 2021, or until all available funds are awarded. More information is available here.
