Boston-based XL, a provider of vehicle electrification solutions for commercial and municipal fleets, has announced that Debora (Deb) Frodl, former global executive director for ecomagination at GE, has joined its board of directors.

Frodl currently serves on the board of directors and the nominating and governance committee and risk committee for Renewable Energy Group Inc. Prior to leading the ecomagination strategy at GE, Frodl held roles as GE’s chief strategy officer and global alternative fuels leader and chief commercial officer for GE Capital Fleet Services.

“XL is one of the most exciting clean energy companies on the market today and one that is exceptionally well-positioned to deliver on the high expectations of OEMs, fleet managers and leaders in the public and private sector,” says Frodl. “XL’s proven track record among fleets of all sizes and specialties is helping to drive its continued success and rapid adoption by democratizing sustainability across a wide variety of fleets.”

Tod Hynes, XL’s CEO, founder and fellow board member, adds, “Deb’s impressive background and experienced global insights will add a tremendous amount of value to our board. She is truly one of today’s visionaries in making sustainability profitable, and we’re excited to add her to our leadership team.”
